
SAMUEL JACOBSON

JACOBSON, Samuel 95, of Tampa, passed away Nov. 23, 2022, at Bayshore Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center, of natural causes. Samuel Jacobson was born May 6, 1927, in Bronx NY. Samuel served in the United States Army in Germany as part of the occupation forces. He attended J M Wright Technical School in Stamford, CT, and later joined the City of Stamford Police Department. He was an officer for 20 years and taught driving with his business, Academy Driving School. Samuel retired in 1973, after which he traveled and lived for several years in the Canary Islands, before settling in Tampa, FL. Samuel loved to travel and fish. Samuel is survived by his wife, Susanne Jacobson (Phillips); three children, and their spouses, Judith and Thomas Moore, Michael and Marichu Jacobson, and Steven and Nancy Jacobson; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; two brothers; and his former wife, and the mother of his children, Blanche Diamond. Sincere thanks to caring family and friends, the staff at Bayshore Pointe, and the Gold Team at Lifepath Hospice. A celebration of Sam's life will be held after the first of the year.
