
FRANK PELLGRINO
September 24, 1948-May 30, 2006
FRANK J. PELLEGRINO - of Greenwich, beloved husband of Cynthia M. Steckler-Pellegrino and beloved son of Mary Pellegrino and the late Patrick Pellegrino, died at home on May 30, 2006, following a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Until his retirement in 2005, Officer Pellegrino served over 30 years as a member of the Stamford Police Department and was a member of the Stamford Police Bomb Squad since 1979. He was also a first responder to the World Trade Center disaster.
In his leisure time, Mr. Pellegrino was an avid Harley Davidson motorcyclist who participated in many motorcycle tours with his wife and friends throughout the United States and Europe.
Born September 24, 1948, in Greenwich, Mr. Pellegrino was a lifelong resident of Greenwich. He received his B.A. degree from Ricker College in Houlton, Maine where he was a member of the Sigma Delta Phi Fraternity. Mr. Pellegrino later pursued a Master's degree at Fairfield University. He was also a member of the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Pellegrino is survived by four children and one stepdaughter: Michelle Pellegrino of Studio City, California, Frank Pellegrino Jr., and Amy Pellegrino of Greenwich, Michael Pellegrino of Stamford, Connecticut and Leah Steckler of Darien, Connecticut. He is also survived by his in-laws, Attorney Thomas Ryan, and mother-in-law Nora Ryan of Darien, Connecticut.
