Anthony Frank Gambaro, 71, of Chesterfield County, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 2, 2026. Born on May 15, 1954, Anthony lived a life defined by service, kindness, and unwavering love for his family.

Anthony is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Anna Gambaro, the love of his life and his constant companion. Anthony leaves behind his three son, Anthony, James, and Frank, who were his pride and joy, as well as eight cherished grandchildren who brought endless light into his life.

Anthony dedicated 26 years to law enforcement, beginning his career in Bethel, Connecticut, serving one year before moving on to four years with the Greenwich Police Department. He then spent 21 years with the Stamford Police Department, where he proudly retired as a Sergeant. His commitment to protecting and serving his community was matched only by the compassion and respect he showed to everyone he encountered. Known for his warm spirit, Anthony never met a stranger. His ability to connect with people, paired with his deep love for music, made him a presence that uplifted every room he entered. Whether sharing a story, offering a helping hand, or enjoying a favorite song, Anthony lived with a generosity of heart that will be remembered by all who knew him.

Anthony’s legacy lives on in the family he adored, the community he served, and the countless lives he touched along the way.

No funeral services will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
