PETER FISHER, JR. - departed this life on Wednesday, November 22, 2006, in Raleigh, NC at home. A former resident of Stamford, CT, Peter was born on May 26, 1956, to Peter Fisher, Sr. and the late Lillian Clack Fisher.
Peter was a graduate of the King School, (now King-Lowe Heywood School), in Stamford, CT and attended Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA. Peter served as a Patrol Officer with the Stamford Police Department for 22 years and retired in 2001. He was the husband of Shelia Elaine McKnight.
Peter is survived by his father, Peter Fisher, Sr.; beloved wife Sheila E. Fisher, one daughter, Jessica and three sons, Peter, James, and Jesse all of Raleigh, NC; two sisters, Carolyn Fisher- Cropper, Stamford, CT, and Gertrude Fisher, Boston, MA; one brother, Robert B. Fisher, Sr., Stamford, CT as well as a host of aunts, in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be Thursday, November 30, 2006, at Union Baptist Church, 805 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT at 12:00 Noon. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service, Rev. Dr. Robert W. Perry presiding, and Rev. Jacqueline Gilchrist, Eulogist. Interment will be on Saturday, December 2, 2006, at Carolina Biblical Gardens, Raleigh, NC
